Privacy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
In short. Capi looks at where your windows are so it knows where to sit, and nothing more. What it sees stays on your Mac: no account, no telemetry, no ads. This site sets no cookies. When you buy Capi Pro, we only keep what we need to deliver your license and keep our books.
Data controller
NexOps Consulting, EURL with share capital of €1,000, 326 avenue de Cannes, 06580 Pégomas, France, RCS Grasse 992 603 217. For any question about your data: bonjour@capimac.com.
1. The Capi app
What it looks at, on your Mac
- The position and size of open windows, so Capi can sit on them. Neither their content nor their title is read.
- The app in the foreground, to recognize a video call (Zoom, Teams, FaceTime…) and keep out of the way.
- The time since your last keyboard or mouse action, to know whether you're there. Not the keys themselves.
This information is read in the moment and is neither stored nor sent anywhere. The App only keeps its settings (size, reminders, outfits, license) in your Mac's preferences.
Network connections
- Updates: once a day, the App reads a small file on our site to check whether a new version exists (open-source Sparkle tool). No information about you or your Mac is sent; like for any web page, our hosting provider only sees the IP address requesting the file. Every update is signed and verified before it is installed. Can be turned off in the settings.
- License: it is checked on your Mac, offline.
That's all: the App sends no other data, to us or anyone else.
2. This site
- No cookies, no advertising pixels, no social media buttons.
- Anonymous audience measurement with Cloudflare Web Analytics, without cookies or identifiers: page views, referring site (for example LinkedIn), country, device type and loading time. It can neither recognize you nor follow you from one site to another.
- We also count App downloads from our hosting provider's statistics, without linking anything to you.
- Fonts, images and scripts are served by this site: your IP address is not passed to any other provider during your visit.
- Your choice of language and of light or dark theme is remembered in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
The hosting provider, Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework), serves the site and the audience measurement. It may keep technical logs (IP address, date, requested page) for the security of the service, under its own privacy policy.
3. Purchase and license
Payment is handled by Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). We receive your email address, your country, the option purchased and the amount paid; never your card number. Your license contains your email address: the App shows it in its settings.
Your license is emailed to you by our provider Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). Messages you send us at bonjour@capimac.com pass through Cloudflare, which forwards them to us.
- Legal basis: performance of the contract (license delivery, refunds, support) and legal obligations (accounting).
- Retention: accounting records are kept for 10 years (article L123-22 of the French Commercial Code); other data for 3 years after your last contact.
- Stripe and Cloudflare may process some data outside the European Union, with the safeguards provided by the GDPR.
4. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port the data we hold. Write to bonjour@capimac.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
5. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with its date. Any change affecting the promise “what Capi sees stays on your Mac” would be clearly announced in the App before taking effect.
